Two things stand out. First, the AILET 2025 registration last date was 18 November 2024, and the AILET 2026 registration last date was 10 November 2025 before a short extension. The deadline has settled in the second week of November. Second, the exam now sits in the second week of December every year. Plan on the dates as announced. An extension happened last year, but nobody can promise one this year, and waiting for it is how students lose a year.

AILET 2027 Exam Date and Key Dates

The AILET 2027 exam date is Sunday, 13 December 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. NLU Delhi confirms this on its official FAQ page. Here is every date that matters between now and the exam.

Last year the result arrived four days after the exam. If that pattern holds, expect the AILET 2027 result in the third week of December 2026, followed by counselling and admission rounds.

AILET Form Fee: Category-wise Registration Fees

Before the 2026 cycle the fee was ₹3,500 for General candidates and ₹1,500 for reserved categories. NLU Delhi reduced it for AILET 2026, and the reduced fee continues for AILET 2027. • Payment modes. NLU Delhi accepts debit cards, credit cards, net banking and UPI.

Step 2: Choose your nationality and programme. Select Indian or Foreign National/OCI/PIO, then choose BA LLB (Hons.) or LLM.

AILET and CLAT: Do You Need Both Forms?

NLU Delhi does not take part in CLAT. It admits students to its BA LLB (Hons.) and LLM programmes only through its own AILET score. CLAT, run by the Consortium of National Law Universities, covers the other participating NLUs. The two exams have separate application portals, separate fees, separate admit cards and separate results. A CLAT form does not count for NLU Delhi, and an AILET form does not count for any other NLU.
